The percentage gap between the current close and the Parabolic SAR level. Positive means close is above the SAR dot (the trailing stop has flipped to bullish mode); negative means close is below (bearish mode).
When positive, price is in an uptrend phase from the SAR's perspective. When negative, it is in a downtrend phase. The magnitude reflects how far price has traveled since the last SAR flip.
The Parabolic SAR places an invisible trailing dot on the chart. This number says how far above (positive) or below (negative) that dot the current close is sitting - and therefore which direction the SAR is currently 'following'.
