How Janira reads it (bullish vs bearish)

Positive: buyers are dominating the directional movement on this period. Negative: sellers dominate. Zero: perfectly balanced or no directional movement. Combine with ADX level for trend confirmation.

In plain language

DI Spread is a battle scorecard. Positive means buyers won more of the range battles recently; negative means sellers won. The larger the number, the more lopsided the recent contest.

Scenarios

Large positive spread (> +15) with ADX > 25: a confirmed uptrend with buyers clearly in charge of directional movement.
Large negative spread (< −15) with ADX > 25: a confirmed downtrend where sellers are running the show.
Spread near zero with low ADX: a dead-heat match - no side has a directional edge; range conditions prevail.
Spread crossing from negative to positive: the balance of directional power is flipping - buyers are beginning to outmuscle sellers.
