This policy explains what personal data Janira processes, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect and why

• Account data (email, and a display name if you sign in with Google), via our authentication provider, to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
• Usage analytics (pages viewed, clicks, approximate time on page, acquisition source, and which instruments you read), to operate and improve the service and understand how it is used. We use a first-party anonymous identifier stored in your browser, not third-party advertising cookies. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
• Reading records: when you request an analysis, we keep a record of the read shown to you and the indicator values that were present at that moment. This lets us evidence, if ever needed, exactly what was displayed and that it was descriptive and faithful to the data. Legal basis: legitimate interest (establishing, exercising or defending legal claims). Kept for up to 5 years (the civil limitation period).
• Billing data: subscription status. Payments are handled by our Merchant of Record (see Terms); we do not store your card details. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.

Processors and third parties

We use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf: Clerk (authentication), Cloudflare (hosting, infrastructure and database), Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record, payments and invoicing), DeepSeek (AI inference run on market data and your question), and Resend (transactional email). Some of these providers are located outside the European Union (notably the United States); transfers are framed by appropriate safeguards. We never sell your personal data.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Reading records are kept for up to 5 years. Analytics are kept in aggregated or short-lived form.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. You may exercise them at any time by emailing hello@janira.ai. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL, www.cnil.fr).

Cookies and local storage

Janira does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We use a functional cookie for the private admin area and browser local storage to hold an anonymous analytics identifier and your preferences.

3. Terms of service

What Janira is, and what it is not

Janira is a descriptive market-analysis tool. It reads market data and lays out the case for and the case against an instrument, anchored to numbers. It is not financial advice, not an investment recommendation, and not a trading signal. It does not tell you to buy, sell or hold anything. We give no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the data or analysis, and no guarantee of any result. Markets carry risk; every decision is yours alone, and we accept no liability for any loss arising from your use of the service.

Market data may be delayed (typically around 15 minutes) and is provided for information only.

Subscription, billing and cancellation

Janira offers a free tier with limited daily usage and a paid plan, Pro at €29 per month, billed monthly. Sales are operated by Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record: Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for the transaction and handles payment, invoicing and applicable taxes in accordance with its own terms.

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for the remaining period. Any refund, where applicable, is handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record under its own refund policy. By subscribing and obtaining immediate access to the service, EU consumers expressly request that performance begins immediately and acknowledge that they thereby lose the 14-day right of withdrawal for the digital service supplied.

Acceptable use

You agree not to scrape, resell, automate abusive access to, or attempt to disrupt the service, and to use it for your own personal, informational purposes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. For EU consumers, nothing here removes your mandatory statutory rights. In case of dispute, you may use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr); failing an amicable solution, the competent courts apply.
